Transportation & Transit Access and Affordability

Our Policy Accelerator team partners with grantees to advance transportation and transit access and affordability including school bus electrification and accessible charging infrastructure. This includes work on setting robust and ambitious clean energy targets for public transportation. Our work in this area also includes combating electric vehicle disinformation campaigns targeting communities of color.

    Sol Nation’s vision is to create self-lead BIPOC communities who prioritizes black issues, establishes climate justice solutions, and provides the next generation with access to knowledge and resources, including school curricula with environmental justice standards.

    Faith in Action Nevada is a nonpartisan, multi-faith organization that organizes and advocates for racial justice, economic justice, and an inclusive democracy.

    The People’s Lobby is a membership-driven organization of people across the Chicago area that work together to build support for public policies and candidates – including people from our communities – that put gender and racial justice, the needs of people and the planet before the interests of big corporations and the very rich.

  • lllinois People’s Action (IPA)

    Illinois People’s Action aims to empower everyday people and their congregations to become partners in the decision-making process on justice issues they identify. They use the principles of community organizing, leadership training and direct action to achieve this mission.

  • New Georgia Project

    New Georgia Project’s mission is to build power with and increase the civic participation of the New Georgia Majority—Black, Latinx, AAPI, and young Georgians—and other historically marginalized communities through nonpartisan voter registration, organizing, and advocacy on the issues important to our communities.

    Alianza Center serves the Puerto Rican and Hispanic communities of Florida by developing and promoting leadership around the environment, healthy living and civic engagement. Their work consistently focuses on sustainability, self-determination, and education.

    GreenLatinos is a national non-profit for Latino leaders confronting national and local environmental issues in the Latino community. They envision a healthy and equitable society where communities of color are liberated from disproportionate environmental burdens.

  • Mi Familia Vota

    Mi Familia Vota is a national civic engagement non-profit organization that unites Latino, immigrant, and allied communities to promote social and economic justice through citizenship workshops, voter registration, and voter participation. Mi Familia Vota has operations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, and Texas.
