Executive Leadership

  • Andrea Cristina Mercado

    President and CEO (she/her)

    Andrea Cristina Mercado is president and chief executive officer of the Equity Funds. She brings over two decades of experience in civic engagement, strategic campaigns, and leadership within multiracial communities, including her extraordinary work on behalf of Florida Rising Together and New Florida Majority Education Fund, where she spearheaded large-scale civic engagement programs that continue to grow the political power of Black, Latinx, and multiracial communities.

  • Jodeen Olguín-Tayler

    Vice President, Strategic Partnerships (ella/she)

    Jodeen Olguín-Tayler has over two decades of cross-sector movement-building experience that centers racial and gender equity. In her role at the Equity Funds, she builds strategic, inclusive partnerships that drive multi-state organizing and civic engagement programs with a strong track-record of winning policy and advocacy campaigns.

  • Jordan Estevao

    Vice President, Programs (he/him)

    Jordan Estevao is a longtime organizer who has led campaigns to advance racial justice, community economic development, affordable housing, community benefit agreements, and immigrant rights. He oversees all of our grantmaking and grantee-facing programs.

  • Jillian Murphy

    Interim Executive Director (she/her)

    As our organizational steward, Jillian Murphy oversees our strategic direction and day-to-day operations in close partnership with leadership and staff. In this role, Jillian leveraged her expertise as Chief of Staff, including her work to build and expand state and national strategies, and promote the development and creation of several of the Equity Funds’ major initiatives.
