We support grantee partner organizations to be leaders in the advocating for and implementing of climate policy solutions.
This program provides grantee partners with capacity-building and technical assistance including research and data analysis. The Policy Accelerator staff facilitates cross-state learning for grantees and provides training and support for a fellowship program that enhances in-house organizational climate policy capacity while cultivating emerging leaders in the field.
KEY AREAS OF SUPPORT
Research and Technical Assistance
The Policy Accelerator team provides fast, reliable research support for grantee partners on climate equity and clean energy issues. Examples of our technical assistance support include providing air pollution data in engaging and accessible ways, developing decarbonization road maps, and providing policy playbooks to support community-led advocacy, education, and campaigns.
State and Federal Policy Support and Thought Partnership
We provide input and support to help grantee partners identify and overcome obstacles to advancing equitable climate policy. This could look like strategy calls, fact sheets, information on federal funding programs and opportunities, or on-demand policy, regulatory, and legislative analysis.
Policy Learning Community
We support learning across our grantee community, which includes hosting a regular policy learning call where our grantee network is welcomed to get inspired by campaign progress and wins and learn with one another. Past topics include federal funding implementation efforts, utility accountability, mythbusting false solutions, and energy democracy.
Climate Policy Fellows Program
This fellowship funds the placement and training of emerging public policy strategists housed within our grantee partner organizations. The Policy Fellows have provided critical capacity to bring grassroots voices and perspectives into state-level policy and implementation campaigns.
