Climate Resilience, Recovery, and Response

The policy and grantmaking teams partner with grantees on resilience, response, and equitable recovery. Many of our grantee partners are on the frontlines of increasing climate catastrophes and face disproportionate impacts from the hazardous effects of climate change. Work across our states has focused on resilience and preparedness for hurricanes, extreme heat and heat stress, building resilience, and emphasizing addressing concerns for those in multi-family housing units and mobile home communities. Our support has included both proactive policy work to develop equitable investments in infrastructure and rapid response funding vital to resourcing community-based organizations that integrate their response and recovery work with field canvassing for voter engagement.
