We are proud to have recently added Ohio to our portfolio of states, all critical battlegrounds where we are fueling local community organizing to secure and defend a just transition to clean energy.
Ohio is at a critical juncture in advancing climate justice, clean energy, and voting rights amidst a politically complex landscape. Historically, the state’s organizing and equity infrastructure has been weakened by fluctuating investments, leaving Black, Latinx, AAPI, immigrant, and multi-racial communities and leaders under-resourced despite facing some of the highest burdens.
With a large population, high carbon emissions, and a legislature dominated by fossil fuel-aligned interests, Ohio presents both a challenging policy environment and a significant opportunity for movement-building. These dynamics make it a priority state for sustained, equity-driven investment that centers grassroots leadership.
More information about our work in Ohio will be added soon.
