The Equity Fund has long recognized the need to support Native-led climate and economic justice initiatives. Based on interviews with 34 Native leaders and non-Native allies, the Equity Fund conducted an assessment of the Native climate organizing landscape to understand the best ways to strengthen our grantmaking to Indigenous communities. Our findings highlight that while Indigenous Peoples are on the frontlines of climate change, they face significant barriers to philanthropic support.

This report shares ways for funders to develop and deepen relationships with Native-led organizations and to support their community organizing and advocacy efforts.
